Gopass is a command-line-based universal password manager that is developed with the following principles in mind:
- Easy : for technical users (i.e. those who are used to the command line) it will be easy to start with gopass.
- Security : Security is difficult. We strive to make it as easy as possible, while providing a good level of protection against ordinary attackers. Attention ! If your personal threat level is very high, we cannot offer you a good tool.
- Extensibility : although Gopass includes a fair amount of useful features, we cannot cover all the usage options. To support more special uses, we want to provide a clean and simple API to integrate gopass into your own binaries.
