Sberbank is testing one of its offices a system for detecting people in places of their mass congestion or large multi-storey buildings using the technology of augmented reality (AR) and plans to start its commercial operation in 2021, the press service of the Bank.
The Bank, according to Rospatent, has developed a technical solution, which allows with high accuracy to find people in places of their mass congestion or large multi-storey buildings where they shouldn’t be. After detection, the system offers the quickest route to the location of the “uninvited guest”. The system uses the tools of augmented reality and 3D modeling, the program can be used in the special AR glasses with an integrated camera.
This development has already piloted for the first time it was tested at the head office of Sberbank, told in the credit institution. “Currently several pilot projects in the office, located at Kutuzovsky Prospekt, 32. Introduction developments in commercial operation is planned in 2021,” — said the press service.
The Bank has not yet decided whether to display system on the market. “The decision on the formation of product to market will be made only after accumulation of sufficient data on useful life,” explained Sberbank.
